Well it seems fitting, it is the start of 2008, I am back from Hawaii; it's time to start the really serious planning regarding my Around the World trip this year.
I am thrilled that Dorothy Jank will be my travel agent for this journey. Dorothy is very knowledgable, and has sent me on many other smaller scale trips in the past, including Egypt. I know she is up to the task.
I have just bought the book "Rough Guide - First Trip Around the World", and am already getting some great ideas to plan the trip. I have sent the 4th draft of my trip planner to Dorothy so she can start working on the airline tickets. I will be putting up a world map and some quotes in my den to inspire my imagination. And lastly, I have set up this blog and corresponding email account, so I can start screwing it up, and figure out how to fix it before I go.
