Green River Canyon

The day of makeup bag making, and a Village visit was packed with activities.  Next we were to motor up the beautiful Green River, to an amazing canyon, where we could swim if we wanted to.  You know how I love to swim, plus it was super hot, as it always is in Indonesia, but there was that foot problem...

The river and tropical jungle were just beautiful, and the gang said the water was refreshing, but not at all cold.  Hey, where the overnight low is 25 degrees year round, how could the water be cold.

The only advantage of not being able to swim, was no wet bum in the minibus.

Next, it was off to a nearby surf beach, for optional boogie boarding, surfing, swimming or just chilling out on the beach.  We had a delicious and very cheap lunch at one of the simple beachside restaurants.  By the way, just loving the Indonesian food, simple and delicious, just add hot chilli (sambal) and I am all set!

Next, it was off for a walk over a really neat bamboo suspension bridge, past some small scale manufacturing shops, and into the dry rice paddies for information about it all.  For the sake of my dear sister, I will not post the picture of the gigantic spider we spotted along the way.

A busy and fun day, to be topped off by the subject of my next blog.
